Hello everyone, After sundays epic get together in london I was thinking of an idea for our next get together.

First and foremost, I am leaving the country to work on a project in brazil next week (can't wait) and will stay there till the start of october so if we do this it will have to be after this date.

The Idea:
Rent a Photography studio in london, I have spoken with a few friends which rent out studios, I believe we can get one out for about £135 per day. In this studio we get a big studio room, a Kitchen and I think that if we pay a bit more we can get a conference room and even another studio if we need it depending on how many people come. it would be a great opportunity for everyone to get some hands on experience while also having lots of fun.

Plan:
To get all the artists together and actually do some work hehe.
The idea is that every artist will help one another and so get good feed back and learn by sharing.

Photographers:
we will get the photographers to do what they do best, arrange photos sessions, photos ops and take some amazing photos.


Fashion / Makeup / Costume artists:
We will need some people to help with the models (male and female) and get them prepared while also helping us think of new photo op.

Models:
of course we need some guinea-pig (only joking) and in return they will get some amazing photos of themselves to put on their portfolios or whatever they like

Traditional / Digital arts people:
now this will be the very fun part, after we (the photographers) have taken the photos we will send the photos to you and you would edit them, we could also print them and you can even draw manually, there are many things you could do.

There are endless things we can do, our imagination is our limit (pretty good team then)

Others:
anyone is more then welcome to come along, you could see us in action and give us a hand, pitch new ideas, the main aim of this is to do ART and thats what we do best at Deviant Art.

Hi, Thanks For the Note, Very good question, we are still trying to organize everything, we dont have a plan just yet, I would love to have some feedback from you on what you could suggest, Ill start working on the planning and everything related to the event in September as im currently on holiday in Brazil .

the main issue we are having at the moment is location, I wanted to try and do it at a college or university where we would use there halls, many studios do not allow people below 18 to enter and they usually have a limit of people that can enter.

Another Issue is lighting equipment for the studio, at least most of the photographers would have their own cameras and most people have laptops to edit the photos.

What do you think?

21 July 09 - I have been searching threw the internet to find the perfect place to do this, and I found somewhere its [link] <<< but sadly im here in london, If anyone wants to call them up and ask about this, they are a charity dedicated to young artists (AKA us) so Im hoping they are willing to help.

25th of june 09 - I had an idea to lower costs for this event but I need some help, what about if we got in contact with some art universities and used there halls it would save money on renting a premises. can anyone get in contact with their university and check this out for us, Ill try and e-mail a few but being all the way in brazil makes it a bit difficult


we are thinking of doing this on october 31 (Saturday), what do you all think? yes, no, better make it on sunday, or complete different date.
